In digital design, 3D modeling, and video compositing, an Alpha Channel is the component of an image that determines its opacity or transparency. It is typically represented on a grayscale scale from 0 (fully transparent) to 255 or 1.0 (fully opaque).
To Invert Alpha is the process of mathematically reversing these transparency values. This action swaps the transparent areas of an image with the opaque ones, effectively treating the white (visible) areas as black (hidden) and vice versa.
