The tool is no longer actively developed. While it is occasionally packaged in legacy toolkits on archiving sites like Free-Codecs, it has mostly been phased out of modern day-to-day use. This is because optical disc hardware has largely vanished from modern laptops, and hardware-level error scanning relies heavily on older optical drive firmware (like classic Lite-On, BenQ, or Plextor drives) that is rarely found in newer USB external enclosures.
