How To Automate Your Email Campaigns Using UltiMailer Email marketing remains one of the most powerful ways to nurture leads and drive sales. However, manually sending individual emails to every subscriber is impossible to scale. By automating your email campaigns with UltiMailer, you can deliver targeted, personalized messages to your audience ⁄7.
Here is a step-by-step guide to setting up your first automated email workflow in UltiMailer. Step 1: Connect Your Subscriber List
Before building a campaign, UltiMailer needs a target audience. Navigate to the Audience tab on your main dashboard.
Click Import Contacts to upload a CSV file or sync your existing CRM.
Create Tags (e.g., “New Lead,” “Customer”) during import to easily group your subscribers. Step 2: Define Your Automation Trigger
Triggers are the specific actions that tell UltiMailer when to start an automated sequence. Go to the Automation menu and select Create New Workflow.
Choose your starting trigger from the available options. Common triggers include a user subscribing to a form, making a purchase, or clicking a specific link in a previous email. Step 3: Design the Email Sequence
Once the trigger is set, you can build your timeline of emails.
Click the + Icon below your trigger to add your first email step.
Choose a pre-designed template from UltiMailer’s library or use the drag-and-drop builder to create a custom layout.
Add Merge Tags like [First_Name] to automatically personalize each message. Step 4: Add Strategic Time Delays
Sending five emails at once will overwhelm your audience. Time delays space your messages naturally.
Insert a Delay Node between each email in your sequence creator.
Set the duration based on your goals (e.g., wait 1 day after a welcome email, or wait 3 days before sending a promotional offer). Step 5: Implement Conditional Logic
UltiMailer allows you to change a subscriber’s path based on their behavior.
Add an If/Else Condition to check if a recipient opened a specific email or clicked a link.
Branch the workflow: Send an incentive coupon down the “Did Not Click” path, and send a product checkout link down the “Clicked” path. Step 6: Test and Launch Your Campaign
Always test your automation before making it live to ensure formatting and logic work perfectly.
Click Run Test within the workflow builder to send the sequence to your personal inbox.
Verify that all links, personalization tokens, and timing intervals function correctly.
